Corfu is a magical island combining the old with the modern, the classical with the eccentric, art with every-day life.
Dominated by a fortified citadel, Lipari is capital of the seven volcanic Aeolian Islands. Lipari is deservedly famous for its natural and architectural beauty as it embraces some stunning panoramas, pumice stone quarries and a “Castello” built on the ruins of an ancient Greek acropolis. Not far from here we will be sailing round the forbidding yet impressive Stromboli, an active volcano which regularly erupts wreathing its summit in smoke.
